Lazy Day

Yup.

Eat, sleep, potty, play, nap, repeat.

That was Cube's agenda today.

Needless to say, he loved it.

Who wouldn't?

The Mall

Today we went to the mall. (lol duh, right?)

And Cube looooves the mall. From a stroller view, all you see is lights! And with this kid and lights?-he's a happy baby. Smile, sleep, look at lights, sleep, laugh, sleep, sleep, eat, sleep, urinate. Then off to Sears we go for a diaper change. So I get out my supplies and get to changin'. I put some diaper rash ointment on(for precautions- the red is gone) and lift my finger. He starts pooping! This kid starts pooping! Sigh.. we wait. I reclean the area. Luckily the old diaper was still layin' there so no wasted diaper in this anecdote. I put some ointment on and.... more poop! One last little turd and he was finished. It was a little frustrating but it's one of those times you just gotta laugh, because, let's face it, if it were happening to anyone else, you would. So laughed I did. I think Rosie did too. Oh, I forgot to mention-Rosie(Cube's soon-to-be-Godmother) came too. At first it was just supposed to be her and I, but plans changed and Cube got to get out of the house. Anyway, he loves being out: the car ride, the different views, the attention, the stroller rides. I guess you can presume that if he could talk, the conversation would go a little something like this:

"Hi Baby. Did you have a good day?"
"Oh yeah! What a joyous and wonderful afternoon I had! We went to the mall and I truly appreciate the mall. The camaradarie is such an experience and I am so fortunate to have a mom like mine that takes me to the mall without hesitation."
"What did you do at the mall?"
"While I was occupying the most comfortable carseat within a ten mile radius, we went into a variety of stores. It felt like we were a different target market every ten minutes. It was absolutely an afternoon to smile about."

Ok, maybe not exactly like that, but I'm pretty sure I got pretty close.
Ya'll have a good weekend now.

Movin' On Up!

....to size 1!!

Yes! That's right! You read it correctly people! Size 1 diapers now! Hahaha.

We noticed yesterday that his diapers might be a little snug. So we experimented; we did a few trials to see how they fit. And viola! Comfort and functionalitiy(if that's a word). He's so big! He fits into all of his 3 month old clothes. I don't know why we didn't think of this sooner.

In other news, Cube has diaper rash. :( It'll be gone in the next 6 hours, but still, not a good thing.

He's still smiling though, so that makes me happy.

He's getting more and more aware of his hands as time goes by. When he's lying on his back his hands will make their way up in front of his face and he'll spot them and freeze. His eyes widen and his mouth forms a tiny o. It's adorable. Sometimes his fingers wiggle and his hands turn. When he does this, it's like he's discovering he has control. He's learning how to be human.
(alright, so it's not a new pic, but I couldn't not put one up.)
Have a good evening ya'll

Busy busy bees!

First off, let me just say yesterday was sooo busy, and by the time I got a chance to log on to my laptop, the internet logging into anywhere was messing up, so I couldn't even log into my email! What a terrible thing for anybody to go through. . .

I have an exam friday, 2 exams next week, and a take home midterm due in 5 days! So Mommy's gonna be busy for quite a while and won't be able to post such long stories, but I'll do my best to at least get a pic up or something.

As for Cube, he's been busy eating a bit more and swinging on his swing while I do housewife stuff and homework. He has spent a lot of time with Gra'pa on Mommy's side and now likes the words "goo goo gah gah." I'm beginning to think his first words aren't going to be actual words at all thanks to my dad. But if I can get him to say onomatopoeia by his 2nd birthday, I'll be happy. But for now we'll stick to "oog's" and "uh ah's."

Welllll, like I said, gotta study study study! Here are some pics to brighten your day :)

Tummy Time

Yes, indeed!
We went to his Granpa's house this afternoon(so Mommy could watch cable. lol) and spent quite a good amount of time layin' on a big blanket on the floor. Every once in a while the kitty would come and sniff or paw and the baby would frreze. It was funny. But he was doin' so many mini push-ups. It was so CUTE! Then we would hang out on the couch during, and a little bit after, feedings so no puking happened. It was a qualtiy time kind of Monday. :]

Cube is officially 12 weeks today. Even though he's a week away from being 3 months because not all months are perfectly 4 weeks, he was 12 weeks old at 8:02 this morning. It's all gone by so fast! I'm so happy I'm making this blog for him and everyone else out there who's reading. I really want everyone to feel connected to him, even though a lot of family and friends are far away- even one in the middle east fighting for our country[Hi Liz!], but no matter where you are, thanks for being a part of this with me.
Hope your week started out well! Have a good Tuesday :)

Sun!

Yes, good ol' vitamin D.

But nevertheless, very busy day. I'll write about that later. Mommy had homework and now needs to sleep, so this is all I have time for. But here are some pics.
The first one is him asleep. The second is his reaction to the flash from the first pic. Hope it gives you a good chuckle. Night ya'll!
