Today we went to the mall. (lol duh, right?)
And Cube looooves the mall. From a stroller view, all you see is lights! And with this kid and lights?-he's a happy baby. Smile, sleep, look at lights, sleep, laugh, sleep, sleep, eat, sleep, urinate. Then off to Sears we go for a diaper change. So I get out my supplies and get to changin'. I put some diaper rash ointment on(for precautions- the red is gone) and lift my finger. He starts pooping! This kid starts
pooping! Sigh.. we wait. I reclean the area. Luckily the old diaper was still layin' there so no wasted diaper in this anecdote. I put some ointment on and....
more poop! One last little turd and he was finished. It was a little frustrating but it's one of those times you just gotta laugh, because, let's face it, if it were happening to anyone else, you would. So laughed I did. I think Rosie did too. Oh, I forgot to mention-Rosie(Cube's soon-to-be-Godmother) came too. At first it was just supposed to be her and I, but plans changed and Cube got to get out of the house. Anyway, he loves being out: the car ride, the different views, the attention, the stroller rides. I guess you can presume that if he could talk, the conversation would go a little something like this:
"Hi Baby. Did you have a good day?"
"Oh yeah! What a joyous and wonderful afternoon I had! We went to the mall and I truly appreciate the mall. The camaradarie is such an experience and I am so fortunate to have a mom like mine that takes me to the mall without hesitation."
"What did you do at the mall?"
"While I was occupying the most comfortable carseat within a ten mile radius, we went into a variety of stores. It felt like we were a different target market every ten minutes. It was absolutely an afternoon to smile about."
Ok, maybe not exactly like that, but I'm pretty sure I got pretty close.
Ya'll have a good weekend now.
