Redbox

Today was cloudy, yet nice with a gentle breeze- a light sweater and flip-flops kind of day. I was not going to let it go by without letting Cube experience it. Around 3 o'clock, we all took a stroll down to the redbox at the Valero on the corner. Unfortunately, he didn't think as highly of the weather as the rest of us. It was either the breeze or the UV rays, but the only thing keeping him from crying was the movement of the stroller and the scenery. He had this look the entire time. Only when we would come across a few bumps would his eyes widen in attentiveness(if that's a word).


After we got back from the redbox, it was movie time! The whole family cuddled on one little couch and watched Sorority Row and Marley & Me. He actually watched a bit of the latter. After one of his meals during movie time, he fell asleep in an odd position having just been burped and his little full belly was stickin' out. Of course, Mommy had to take a picture...

Then it was playtime. He laughed and giggled and coo'd and smiled endlessly.

Playdate

First ever playdate today. It was so much fun. Mijo caught up with his friends he's had since his intrauterine days. He's got a few girlfriends now- little chick magnet. Us moms had a great time too.
left to right: Brandy's girl, Karen's boy, Michelle's girl(girlfriend), Krystal's girl(sancha), Cube.^^They were watching the YOUR BABY CAN READ video that Krystal brought. A few were actually into it. Cube-- not so much. Too many new things to stare at= short attention span.

Cube and his girlfriend(Micaela-probably wrong spelling, sorry). They were actually lookin' each other in the eye and talking for a while. SO cute. [And they make the cutest little couple too! lol]

Cube and his sancha(Jylyn). She's so chunky! Guess he's got a streak of chubby chasin' lol.

And I love this "Don't tell my girl!" look.

After the playdate, we went to Rosie's and he had a blast. He always has a good time with his soon-to-be-Madrina.

Relaxation

Today was all about relaxin'.

He relaxed with Daddy.

He relaxed with Mommy.

And of course there was lots of playtime. He did quite a bit of talking too. I could have sworn I heard "yogurt" and "hi" a few times. He was just squealing and rawr-ing away. It was lovely.


Today was a good day.

Funny Day

He had an interesting bath today. Soapy water got in his eyes for the first time and, granted it was Johnson's tear-free stuff, he didn't even fuss. He just stopped moving and it looked like he was trying to concentrate on the water or trying to focus his eyes on it. He finally blinked once I busted out laughing. His face was just too funny; I couldn't hold it in anymore. Then bathtime turned into a happy time. I have no idea why. I think he felt like he defeated the water and was now more powerful. Well that's at least how he was acting. So what did Mommy just have to do? Grab my phone(out of my pocket-I didn't leave him) and take some pics. And now I present to you, ladies and gentlemen, Rudytitito: King of bathtime....

Afterwards, we chilled on the couch and studied together. He's not a good study buddy, though. He thinks he's sooo much more important than Principles of Marketing and refused to let me look anywhere but at him. ;)

And now he is playing- or rather was when I started typing. He would yell at me to pick him up and then hit the musical frog hanging above him and then complain of his loneliness and so on. Then......silence.... He fell asleep. I laugh. This wakes him up. He lets out a loud scream protesting inevitable sleep. Then his arms slowly descend down to his sides and his eyes shut. Naptime. I giggle. He's completely still separate from the rise and fall of his grapefruit-sized chest. :)

Tuesday.

Yes. 'Tis Tuesday. He snores. And loves to play. And hates to sleep. And is intrigued by Bastet(my dad's cat).

Play.

This is all this kid did all day. He didn't even let Mommy study! Just play, play, play. Well, he got his wish and was smiling and playing and giggling and making dinosaur noises allll afternoon. He is just such a happy and smiley baby! He gets more adorable as the hour passes. I think he knows this too. Lol.

Tres Meses!!!

Yes, I am counting him 3 months old today. He was born on the 30th of November and if you add the two 31st's we've had since then, and add them to today(28th), it makes 30. So then, three months means the last day of the third month- today, February 28th.

He's so big! His feature's have changed over the past three months so today was filled with sooo many pictures recording him being 1/4 a year old. Other than the pics, it's been a normal Sunday. It was nice out, so we opened the front door and the gate let the nice spring breeze flow through the apartment. Cube got to wear shorts and be barefoot all day. I'm beginning to think he appreciates a kind breeze.

This morning he reached a milestone! Well, maybe not in a pediatrician's eyes, but he hit the froggy in his play gym and it played music! He's never done this on his own before! I heard it from the other room and ran in where him and his Daddy were. We all started cheering and we had a parade around the aprtment. It was a miraculous event for Cube.

In the afternoon, Rudy's cousins Adam and Junior came over to hang out. They're like brothers to Rudy so Cube has seen them before and was all smiley with Adam. It was cute. We ordered pizza and the boys are watching redbox movies while Mommy does her homework. Luckily, I got some time to share pics with all of you. Hope you like 'em! Enjoy!
