Good Friday, including a carrot

Yup- we had a good day. He just hung around the house this morning with Daddy while Mommy got things ready for the rest of the day. He got a nice warm bath to ease his leg pains due to yesterday's shots. Then at 1, we had a playdate and Daddy went to work.
All of his friends are getting so big! Even though he's the oldest, he's right behind all of them in the weight category. He's got some rolls, but he's no match for some of his friends. He's still so little!
When the playdate was over, we went to my dad's house so I could work on a paper and he could play around. He just sucked on his fingers and marveled at the tv the whole time. He even got to taste carrot. He actually liked it. He looked at me with that i-know-you-have-more-so-hand-it-over look. And when I did, he smiled.
Towards the evening he's been a little moody, but I know it's just because his legs are a little soar from his shots. But don't worry, with a little of my magical mommy powers, he'll sleep like a baby tonight. :]

Shots!

He got his four month check-up with shots this afternoon. He did sooo good. There were a few short screams, but no tears. :) Mine and Rudy's eyes got a little watery, but not the little dinosaur- he's a brave one.
He is now 13 lbs 9 oz & 25 inches long. The doctor approved introducing solids and his health, behavior, milestones, etc. are totally on track and normal.

After the doctor appointment, we planned for a day in with Pizza Hut and Redbox movies so Cube could be able to get all the tlc he wanted. We all really enjoyed our hang out session. Mijo slept through both movies, eating on his schedule of course, and woke up a little too warm for my liking. I didn't want to run to the Tylenol first, so I went with common sense. What I do when I'm hot upon waking up?... stand in front of the fan! However, he can't stand yet and he doesn't like how loud the fan is, so we found the next best thing...
His favorite part? The front row seat to the ceiling fan a few meters away. (That's what he's captivated by in both pictures.)
Unfortunately, this method didn't last as long as one would hope. After a few hours and a few other attempts at cooling him off, Tylenol was given as a last resort. Now he's feeling better and eating his dinner before bed.

Besides the stabbing pain he had to go through today, I think he'd be very content with his day if you asked him.

Easter Bunny Picture!!

Yes, he met the easter bunny today. No screaming, no weird looks, no spit up on the brand new outfit- just trying to eat Mr. Easter Bunny's hand. Rudy and I were strategically squatted down in front of the camera and when he smiled, he looked right at the camera. It worked out perfectly. But here, see for yourself. After shopping around at the mall and eating at Luby's, the three of us ventured to Best Buy. Cube ate and Daddy browsed. Then we went to Tia Chelle's to help his cousin, Landon, by purchasing out of a catalog. Sadly, there were no baby toys. But he didn't mind. He always has a good time smiling at his cousin, Peyton, and he even squealed a bit with Mamo(his Daddy's mom). They both had a lot of fun.

Finally we came home and got to relax a while. It was nice outside, so our itty bitty family walked outside to look at all the bluebonnets in between us and the highway. There are a lot of bluebonnets not too far from our front door. It's a pretty good sized sea of blue. Cube didn't really look down, though. He was intrigued by the sky and the light breeze. It was beautiful. Today was officially a good day.

4 four months!!!

He turned four months old yesterday. I had lots of studying and homework for an exam, so couldn't make it to my laptop, but Mijo had a great day. Him and I chilled, and he hung out with Grandpa.
Every now and then, he had a nice nap.

When his Daddy came home, he was showered with love and kisses.

Yawn... Monday...

I really think he likes his CHICK MAGNET bib. It suites him.

Boring day mostly composed of naps, homework, and doing laundry with the occasional smile.

Saturday 'n' Sunday

SATURDAY [walmart]
He didn't really do anything that interesting. Mommy had a conference in the morning and Daddy worked a double, so he spent some time with Grandpa. They swung on the hammock and watched sci-fi.
After my conference, we all went to Wal Mart. Of course Cube loves Wal Mart, and was a very good baby the entire time. He had the cutest blue and yellow overalls on and slept through most of his compliments.
This day was all homework for Mommy and relaxation & compliments for Cube.

SUNDAY [first money ever!!]
In the morning, he watched anime with Daddy until Daddy had to leave for work at 1. Mid-afternoon, Cube and I went to Grandpa's to wash Daddy's work clothes. After those were done, we went to Walgreens to pick up some pictures of him for Great Grandma that Grandma had sent online from Killeen. We then went to go visit Great Grandma. They both had a blast; the smiles rarely subsided(and that was only because he took a nap). Then he woke up to a wonderful surprise... a five dollar bill in his hand!! Great Grandma gave him money for toys! How wonderful! He asked me if we could go back and get this dancing easter Mickey he had his eye on at Walgreens, but we'll just have to wait and see because he has a big week ahead of him- including his 4 month shots. (gulp)
Later we went back to Grandpa's and got to see him once he got home from work. Then we picked up his Daddy from work and they've been cuddling ever since.

I guess you could say his weekend ended on a great note. After all, who wouldn't want to wake up with cash in their hand?
