Best Buy for anime and to swallow down a bottle,
Chili's so Mommy and Daddy could eat,
Daddy's work to drop him off,
Rosie's to visit and have another bottle,
Sun Harvest in search of rare organic soy formula(wasn't there),
Babies 'R' Us for diapers and wipes and lots lots more(and found the formula!!),
Our house for another bottle while watching Finding Nemo,
The post office to mail off the census before Mommy forgets again,
The redbox to return Daddy's movie,
Our home for some quality time and food,
& to Daddy's work to pick him up because he got off early.

Needless to say,
Cube spent most of his Friday in his carseat..

Movin' On Up (pt. 2)

Diapers
He's in size 2 now!! The size 1's started to look a little too snug, so off to the store we went to get new Huggies. I think he likes them.

Wal Mart
From the time we left for Wal Mart to the time we got back(about 2 hours), he slept. Such a good baby. :) This was the first time him and I have ever ventured to a store on our own, and I'm happy to report we both did very well.

Teething
The irritability part is setting in, and I have to say it isn't my favorite part of my day. But with the help of blankets and fingers to chew on, it's bearable. ;) He kind of nibbles on his own fingers a lot. Trying to get a picture of a digit chow down session, I captured his process for getting there...
Step 1: Place hand and fingers somewhere in general vicinity of mouth.

Step 2: Locate and slobber all over fingers.

And voila!- Teething contentment :D

Ugly Outside

Therefore, we stayed inside. Movies and visitors was the path the day took. First his Grandma(on his Daddy's side) came over with his cousin, Peyton. Cube stared at Peyton for a while at some point. I think he was trying to figure out who/what she is because she's so small. And then, of course, he would get distracted by his own alien hand waving around in front of his face. They just played and smiled a little and we all talked about teething. Cube has an ever so slight fever and is drooling like a bulldog. He even tries to chew fingers that don't belong to him. [One more week 'till we attempt rice cereal!!]

Then his Grandpa from that same side came over. Although he slept through most of that visit...
...he still smiled a few times at him.

Any smile is always a good smile... :]

Nothin' Special makes for Special Moments

[ok, so Rudy kinda blinked. Cute pic still]

Rudy was off today and I had a bunch of homework, so we all just lounged around the house in pj's once I got home from school. It was nice outside, so we welcomed the breeze thru our living room and watched a bunch of movies. It was nothing special, but especially precious. Lazy family time is never a bad time. :)

[I tried to take a pic of him snuggling his teddy bear, but he just started swingin' it around. Then I decided this made for a better pic anyway.]

Case of the Mondays

We were all extremely lazy this first day after spring break- Cube included.

[watchin' Mommy tidy up the kitchen and chompin' on his fingers]

[nap time on Grandpa's couch]

First taste of solid food(unofficially)

I was eating some unsweetened organic applesauce and he was staring so I put a very little bit on my finger-and I'm talkin' size of the pointer on your screen little- and let him have it. He made an ugly face at first then just kept trying to eat my finger. He clearly had no idea what had just happened, and had no intention of attempting to repeat it. He lost interest and soon started sucking on his own hand again. He's gotten into that habit lately-finger sucking. Sometimes you can hear the wet slurping from the other room. It makes me giggle. This kid really gets into it. A pacifier's obsolescence was a surprise. I thought Cube loved those things... guess not.
Now that I think about it, I can't recall use of one for the past couple of days except for at bedtime for a little extra relaxation. He didn't use one today in his carseat. Usually he hates his carseat and needs a mamon to ease some tension, but lately? Nothing. He was all smiles.

Don'tcha just love when babies are all smiles?
