Just a Tuesday

Nothing extraordinary. Just Tuesday at Grandpa's with Pizza for Mommy, sweet potatos for baby, a visit from Rosie, a lot of giggles, and even a few tantrums. First, Daddy, Mommy, and Cube went to Mommy's school because I needed a book. Then Daddy was taken to work and Cube got a bath. Then we went to Grandpa's.
"Cam-Err-Uh?"

"OOOhhhh!!! Camera!"

"This is my mommy"

"WHY DID YOU PUT ME DOWWWNNN!?!?!?!!"

And then there were giggles.... :}~ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Kec-vnGc-c

(guess the video was too long for Blogger, but if you click that ^link^, it'll take you there.) Enjoy!

Monday

Monday was the seaon finale of House(Mommy's favorite show), so of course we had to be at Grandpa's to watch it. We got some clothes washed while we were there as well.
However, before we went over there, I removed the "bassinet" part from his playpen, put toys for him to play with in the playpen, and plopped the little dinosaur in there on his tummy in an attempt to motivate crawling. He can't exactly crawl, but he somehow scoots sideways. In the following picture, you can see how he has accomplished squishing himself against the wall.

And he somehow got a teething ring around his arm. Oh, and you might see his band-aid. No worries- Daddy just knicked him on Saturday putting him in his highchair. But he's okay; it doesn't hirt him at all.
Once Daddy went to work and we got to Grandpa's, I layed a blanket out for him with toys(and his favorite magazine) and was on my laptop. After looking away for only 1 minute, I looked bcak and he was gone! I heard him talking to himself. I found him.... under the coffee table. I have no idea how he got there so fast. I know for a fact it was no longer than a minute, but this kid moves quick. I took a picture before putting him back in his play area and readjusted my laptop to where I could see both Cube and Lily at the same time.

Once again, NO IDEA how he got there. You can see his magazine that he was playing with. If this picture were taken a minute before he wiggled away, he wouldn't be in it. He was on the other side of the magazine. This boy is weird. But I guess he gets that from me- can't complain. d:

Friends, Family, and Duckies

FRIDAY-Playdate!!!
This time it was a t Michelle's house. Cube got to see his friends Miki, Aurora, and Mariah. They all had so much fun! Mariah is already crawling and she was lookin' at all the other babies like "Why are you guys lying down? Get up!" It was so cute.
While we were there, we were invited by Aurora's mom, Brandy, to go hang out at their house later in the evening. So after the playdate, we headed home to repack the diaper bag and wind down just a little before we went to Brandy's house. When we got there, both babies were pretty much pooped from the wonderful day they had, so us mommies watched Too Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything. I love that movie. Cube watched a little, but his teething started bothering him, and he went to sleep.
SATURDAY- bbq
Yup. Mamo(Grandma on Cube's Dad's side) had a barbeque and we were invited. Rudy was going to be off all weekend so we had to plan lots of family fun. Cube's aunt Chelle, Uncle Calvin, and cousins Landon and Peyton arrived no too long after we did. It wasn't anything too special. Cube glided from arms to arms, and eventually napped on the couch. He was content.
SUNDAY- Duck Pond [:
Rudy's cousin, Adam, joined our little family in a trip to the duck pond Saturday evening. We got there a little before dusk so not too many pictures were taken(I forgot my digital camera-sorry). Anyway, Daddy and Adam fed the duckies while I pushed Mijo in the stroller. About a week ago I decided he could sit in the stroller like a big boy, and he loves loves LOVES the new view. His little head was peaking out of the side as he marveled at the little waddling creatures following Daddy around. For Daddy had the bag of bread and this one duck knew the bag and became his best freind, following him (and the bag) wherever they chose to go.

Once we ran out of bread and the ducks started settling down for the night, we finished walking around the track there and headed for a small little playground set. It had a few little slides that were about too feet high. So I sat on the top with Cube in my lap and Rudy squatted at the bottom. And we slid. He loved it! Nothin' but smiles from this kid. After about 4 times, he was bored, and we just sat at a bench and soaked in the park.

It was a lovely weekend and ended on a perfect note.

Ashhton's House and a Magazine

Wednesday
Pears. Bath. Took Daddy to work. Go to Grandpa's to watch Ellen. Smiled at Ellen. Went to Ashhton's(She's a good friend of mine from high school and Cube loves her dearly). Play with Ashhton's kitties. Play with Ashhton's daughter(age 1). Sleep. Watch Mommy play Guitar Hero. Sleep. Go get Daddy from work. Sleep.

Thursday
Not too interesting. Daddy went to work. We went to Grandpa's to watch Ellen and Bones and get some laundry washed and dryed. He attacked a motorcycle magazine that my dad had lying next to where I change him. I didn't get a picture, but beginning with the front cover, he crumbled and analyzed about 6 pages one at a time. It kept him busy for quite a while. Guess I gotta start keeping old magazines. Lol.

Monday and Tuesday

Monday.. umm.. pretty boring. He ate pears. Pears lead to funny faces. But nonetheless, he ate them.
Oh! He's starting to sit up supported, and he's using his hands to hold himself up(kinda like a tripod). In the following picture he's in his playpen. It kinda slopes in the middle because it's the "bassinet" part so it's kinda like a hammock. He likes this because he can see more around him. But I don't really have to tell you that; just look at the huge smile on his face!

Tuesday.. Daddy was off.

The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is a movie theater where you can eat and watch a movie at the same time. It's pretty awesome. Rudy and I have been there a million times. We love it. They serve alcoholic beverages so no one under 18 can go without a parent. No one under 4 can go at all; however, on every Tuesday for the first showing of any movie, parents can bring a child- any age. Sooo... Cube saw his first movie in a theater!! It was Iron Man 2. It wasn't until towards the end that he started to get a little fussy because he wanted to sleep and all the action was going on. But he eventually fell asleep with some teething tablets(they contain chamomile) and didn't care that he missed the end. Before this though, he was very interested in the huge wall with a motion picture.

After the movie, we went to HEB, the redbox, and headed home.
^^(he was honking.lol) He loves his car walker.

Tuesday was a good day. But then again it always is when Rudy is off and we get to have a family day.

Saturday and Sunday

I realized I am a week behind. I vow to catch up TODAY.

So.. Saturday we didn't really do much.

Sunday, Grandma came into town. It was my first Mother's Day, and it was fantastic!
Since Cube is pretty much holding his own bottle now, he had a meal while Mommy was eating and then I looked over and saw this:
He ate and drifted off to dreamland. How wonderful.
For lunch, my mom, Rudy, Cube, and I went out to eat before we dropped Rudy off at work. Then we ran a few errands and just hung out. I can't remember why, but at one point, this picture was taken:
He has the cutest most perfect frown when he is about to start the waterworks. I'm glad my mom got it on record. :)

Thursday & Friday

THURSDAY:
We were at Cube's Grandpa's(where his newest fun little contraption is located, seen here). Grandpa's cat, Bastet, was observing little Mr. Poopy Pants play and, in return, Cube was attempting to capture the kitty for his own entertainment. He was really reaching out of his seat and it looked so darn cute that, of course, Mommy had to take a picture.
FRIDAY:
Uhh..... can't remember much about Friday. However, he did drink up a bottle all by himself. Exciting stuff, this independent bottle-holding. Mira!
Next post- weekend fun.
