Busy Week

There are only a few short weeks left of classes, so I have been super busy and not had a chance to open Lily(my laptop, remember?)
Well, as I promised.. not a day left out:

Let's start with Wednesday. I don't quite remember what we did Wednesday, but we took Daddy to work and then I was engulfed in homework.
Oh! And some point, he had peas and carrots.
Thursday was a little fun. We went to Grandpa's for a little bit. Then around 7, we went to visit his friend, Aurora. Her mom, Brandy, and I watched Project Runway and attempted to get our little ones to communicate. All that happened was awkward stares.
This first picture was before we went to Aurora's. I was trying to take a pic of him being all cuddly, and this little nugget reached out to the phone and held where my hand was as if to say, "Here, get this side. This will be a good one."
He likes his Bumbo. He was chillin' watchin' me make macaroni and cheese. I was talking to him about what I was doing and got this reaction:

Friday was another playdate!! And he made a new friend! He's a month younger than everyone else, and will probably be a part of our playdates from now on(fingers crossed!).
~top row L to R- Jylyn, Kegan
~bottom row L to R- Mikey(new guy), Cube, Mariah
And where there's fun, there's bound to be a nap.... "Oh I'm so exhausted!"

Tehehe..

New Play Thingy

Yup. He got a new play thingy; it's one of those bouncer/exer-saucer thingermajiggers.

Once I got home from school, we went to Vanessa's Mom's house. (Vanessa has been one of my best friends since like 7th grade and now lives with her common law husband.) Anywho, she also has a son who was named after his Daddy that was born right before his Daddy's birthday, and does her laundry at her parents' house. (The similarities between her and I just keep growing, haha) Well, today was her laundry day so we met her over there and visited for a while before she gave Cube the thingy previously described. Her son is 22 months old, so he doesn't need it anymore. Her son, Eligio, and Cube get along pretty well. Cube just watched him walk around the room like "what the heck is that? It's small... but walks on two legs.... hmm.... how does that work?" Eligio in return gives him the "who do you think you are? Stop staring- it's weird" look. This is pretty interesting to watch. Well, it didn't go on for long before Eligio would terrorize blinds or steal a shoe or a snack pack or something of that sort. He's a hoot. He babbles a bunch and points his finger when he's frustrated. Normal almost 2 year old stuff.

Well, back on topic....
After visiting, we went to HEB for Pampers and made it home by 4. Ever since then, Cube and I have read a magazine and watched a few movies. Oh! And he played in his new thingy. He's still a little young to figure out how to turn himself around, but I'm pretty sure he likes it. The mirror is a major pro in his opinion- conceited little brat.

(P.S. Mommy got new glasses)

(P.P.S. Pics up soon. Technical difficulties)

Nap, Play, Repeat

Monday was spent at Grandpa's so Mommy could do laundry.

He was on my lap, and staring at something that made him want to stay this way....

He was fussing trying to fight off sleep, and finally knocked out once he found a comfortable position....

Bumbo + Mommy making silly noises =

The swing has almost as many magical powers as I do.....
And that was all :]

Boring Isn't a Bad Thing

Carrots and whole grain oatmeal was a new breakfast. It also made for a happy breakfast. We all waited outside for Grandpa to pick up Mommy to go to Wal Mart.
(disclaimer: I am not usually this big. Still workin' off the weight and slowly but surely gettin' back to normal.)Grandpa wanted to take a few pics. And Cube seemed very intersted in the sun roof so, naturally, we stuck him through it.
As you can see, this was exciting.
Anyway, that was our day.... Pretty boring. Pretty slow. Pretty great.

Naps

Today he took lots of little naps. His gums were givin' him some trouble, so Mommy and Daddy would do all the little things to let Cube fall asleep faster. He'd start out playing and then... silence followed by snoring. His sleeping habits are adorable. This was pretty much his whole day:

And today carrots made their way into his mouth. He ate them without even a subtle what-the-heck-is-this look. He liked 'em. And yes, I put him in a replaceable shirt and an unimportant bib because carrots stain. (Shout out to my mom for givin' me the heads up!)

At one point in the afternoon we took a trip to the Redbox and he got to marvel at some clouds. It's been real ugly here in San Antonio, and there are intermittent dark clouds that aren't pouring out rain. This movement is apparently amusing to 4 1/2 month olds.

Then we got home and more naps happened in between bottles. His teething can be a bother, but like I've said before, a little tlc can go a long way. (:

Spoiled

He was awfully spoiled on Friday. I made lasagna and brownies and a few people came over to hang out with Mommy, Daddy, and Cube. Everyone who came over just held him and talked with him and spoiled him!

Anyway, before the cooking began, we went to HEB and Grandpa's for a few. Of course compliments were received at HEB and Grandpa wanted to keep him. But how could I have company over without some entertainment? So he stayed with us.

The guest list for food consisted of:
Adrian- Rudy's friend that I've known as long as I've known Rudy
Rosie- One of my best friends; Cube's future god mother
Felicia- Rosie's youngest sister
& Grandpa- My Dad

Once again, all of witch completely spoiled the b'jesus out of this kid.
But he loved it, so I can't complain.
